Marc Ecko Save The Rhinos Benefit Concert

Marc Ecko came thru and put on a great show once again for his Save The Rhinos Benefit Concert. All the Scheduled Acts for the night came with there A Game. From Rhymefest opening the show with a bang to Lupe Fiasco killing it with his performance of "Kick Push", the beginning of the show was hot. After there performances were done DJ Z-trip took the crowd thru a Musical Journey. He played joints from the 50's 60's 70's aahh u get wat im saying the man killed it. And he didn't stick to hiphop, he even had the crowd vibing to some classic rock tunes.

But when It Came time for the "God" Rakim to take the stage the Crowd Erupted. As Soon as he touched the stage it was on and popping for NYC. Every track he performed was a banger. He hit hard with Paid In Full and had the crowd jumping up and down with a crazy performance of Know The Ledge. Then In true Concert fashion he brought out a special guest which was a D-Block Soldier him self, Styles P. The Role Was Switched for Rakim as he became the hype man when Styles P Performed "Good Times ( I get High)". Then Kool Herc came on stage to show his respect, and lata assisted in throwning shirts in the crowd while Rass Kass Freestyled.

After Rakim's Performance DJ Kid Kapri took the stage. Even tho the Turntables he was on was messed up he still did his best to get the crowd hyped.
The last act of the night was Common. The Stage was totally dark Besides for a bright light being centered on a young male with a huge bass playing the notes form BE. This song was a great way to start the performance. As the intro reached its climax Common came out running on the stage. The Crowd Went Bananas. Common was none stop fire for the whole performance. He Even Brought a Female on Stage to share in the Love. And Bilal also made an appearance. One of the Craziest tracks he performed was "Go". As soon as that chorus popped in, every body and they momma was jumping and going supa dupa crazy. The energy was Raised to another level when Rakim Jumped on stage wit common for a old skool freestyle session.

All in all the night was crazy. I have to say it was the best concert I ever been to in my life tho I haven't been to a lot. Here is some footage from the night.
