Great Minds Think Alike

New York City has birthed many inspired artist but only a few have crossed over to the lime light. A city often confused with many stereotypes and loose Judgments on the youth from people who don't understand NYC. Lou Diamond & MeLo- X has collab to make a Project called "Great Minds Think Alike" to show it doesn't matter where you're raised because great minds will blossom and think on the same page threw the concrete. Step into the minds of Two young unique individuals who are following similar dreams and see what they have to say about random topics asked in our society.

Great Minds Think Alike: Lou Diamond
Lou Diamond NYC ID
Name: Lou Diamond aka Teddy IQ
Age: 17 Years Young!
BirthPlace: South Bronx, NY
Current Location: South Bronx, NY!
Relationship Status: Married to the game like Jordan And payton
Occupation:Producer,Singer,Rapper, Fashion Designer, And Fashion Terrorist during the weekend!
Favorite T.V Show: X-Files...but why disney channel is always left on in my studio???
Favorite Music: Everything
Favorite Sneaker: Nike Blazers and Nike Dunks
Dream: Im Living bitch

1.Are you with or against bush?

Lou Diamond- I'm against the government let alone bush. We gotta realize bush is just a pawn in this chess game. They telling him what to do and what to say. He's not really running the country. There's too much corruption in the united states. We're fighting wars over greed while we have people in the united states who are dieing, homeless, hungry how are we worrying about other countries when our own country isn't even stable?. The government likes to act in the dark which means they make moves to make it seem they doing it to give when they actually doing it to get. Look at the war soldiers are dieing for. They are over there for no reason, just over the greed the USA has to take control. Imperialism and slavery still goes on today! But of course the media don't inform the truth about real issues cause the government controls that. So when you turn on the news you hear about how many babies your favourite singer has or how many terrorist threats were getting....Its all hype....like public enemy
said.... DON'T BELIVE THE HYPE

2 .What do you think...is there a difference between inspiration and
swagga jacking?

Lou Diamond-Well I think its 50/50 it depends on how your looking at it. Like you have kids running the city streets changing there whole life style to being a skateboarder cause they see other people doing it, hey that's kool but if your doing it just cause you see other people doing it your just not being true to yourself. Just cause one person does something doesn't mean it's right for you. I believe in trying new things but when your trying new things there first must come interest or love for it, not doing it cause u see everyone doing it. I just think some kids don't understand that skateboarding is more then a lil trend its a lifestyle. I think once you understand something you gain a respect for it and love for it. Then on the other hand you can look at a person you look up too and get a sense of style from them to inspire you to rock certain things. Just like listening to your favourite rapper and feel like writing a song. But when that comes in there's a sense of understanding. I think inspiration is just inspiring your style and swagger jacking is just switching your life around. I think at first there was inspiration then as time went by people became less creative and started looking at people to get whole style and way of living. Lost souls searching for something to follow and be considered fresh or "it"I remember the 90s and when I look back 80s, people had their own sense of style you never really seen people rocking exactly what the next person was rocking. I think cause as time went by society become more judgemental at peoples looks that people would became scared to try something new. So now people look for what's accepted so they won't get judge and be considered cool....

3.which blog or site do you hit up all the time on a daily bases and if
there’s more than one which one do u go to first?

Lou Diamond-I always hit up abstruse society first to see how many hits we have or just get a idea of what I can post for the day. I always hit a.li.e.n mag to see what's up with my alien fam then ill hit up my dude c to the jl's blog spot to see what's new on his side. Then ill view my dude Melo X's 5lat top mag to see what's good in his busy life lol

4. How has livening in NYC influenced your life ?

Lou Diamond-I love NYC with a passion. As far as music, fashion, and state of mind. NYC influenced it. Many people have stereo types about NYC but at the end of the day its just stereotypes. There's negative things about nyc but again negative things can influence you in a positive way cause it teaches you the right wayto do things.

5. Name one artist that influenced your life in your music and fashion
style.

Lou Diamond-There's actually 2 artists....I gotta say 2pac, cause pac's the reason I wanted to start writing ever since 2pacolyze came out he's been goat in my books. Just the things he said from his political stand point to his love life everything he said gave you goose bumps pac is actually the reason why I'm so into politics Pac was our generations Malcolm x He actually brought more black people together then any rapper today cause he knew the key to cleaning up the hood was unity ... Then I have to say Michael Jackson....The dude is a legend....He was my first idol. I remember going into my fathers studio singing mj songs with a lil glitter glove lol I started singing cause of MJ. He was a trendsetter in everything you can name from his videos movies to his record sales. His style was unique too, you never seen nothing like it. You can go anywhere in the world and show someone outfit of Michael Jackson and they will know its Michael Jackson lol
But as far as style i see artist with nice styles but its good for them
you know. I think as far as what you wear you gotta rock stuff that's
looks good on you and makes you feel good. Just cause your fav artist

6. How Did the love for the sneaker culture start for you?

Lou Diamond-Love for sneakers in general came for the love of my favourite basketball player Michael Jordan. Like back when I was younger I would cry for some payless ninja turtle light ups if my moms tried to cop me some Nikes. My moms always dressed me preppy mostly but the love for kicks came like in 95 for Jordans back then it felt like if your wore Some jays you can play like Jordans lol. Then as time went on my love for kicks became stronger cause that's when the sneaker culture started to grow. The sneaker culture today is stronger and the most popular as it ever was.

7. Has livening in a area like NYC affect your outcome in life in a
negative way?

Lou Diamond-Not really cause like I said earlier. Negative things inspire me to know what's right. It builds the person I am. What ever don't kill you makes you stronger...but sad a lot of teens in nyc don't think like that...I see too many people using where there from as excuses to way they do the things they do. I believe it don't matter where your from at the end of the day its your state of mind.... I was raised in the South Bronx! And look where I'm at

8.Where do u think the mind of your peers is at in this day and age?

Lou Diamond-I rarely see drive in people my age…like they haven't had that slap of reality like…Nothing in this world is given to you so get up and work for it. People my age want want and want but are not willing to work for it, they care about about latest trends then goals and dreams.Hey I love kicks clothes, and jewelry but you got to look in the mirror and ask your self. What are these items going to do for you in future? I stay driven, focus and working as much as possible because that's what it takes to get what you want in life. You got to stay on two feet and if something knocks you to your knees get back up! Cause nobody is going to give you a hand to pull you up. Invest in to your dreams…Business before Pleasure. I would like to see people my age educate their selves and stay focus on their dreams. That's what Abstruse Society is all about. Were a group of young talented, intelligent, and driven individuals who want to change the state of minds of people are age. It's a step to cleaning up our society for the better.

9. Both from NYC but raised in different sides of the town. Do you
relate to Melo x?

Lou Diamond-Yeah man we both came out NYC with similar dreams and ambitions which has us on the right track today. When I first met him I got the vibe from him that were both on the same track with our careers. And we both have a love for what we do. You have so many people trying to make it in the music industry for the wrong reasons. If your rapping just
cause you can make money stop. You can see it in our eyes that music and fashion is something we have a true love for.

To read my Interview by Lou Diamond hit up his Abstruse Society page ..theres two sides to this dope interview

The Future Of HIP-HOP and MUSIC

Many of you kno my musical side from my production with other artist, my own album Educated Retro, and my DJing skills. I have been doing this thing since i was 9 years old.

In a day and time when hip hop music and juss music in general is not as good as it used to be i find inspiration from up and comming cats. My Boy Hasan Insane has been in the game for a long time now. I First met him when me and my partner Steph did a mixtape for producers where they would remix tracks that were being played on the radio. The mixtape was a big hit and in the months after there were alot of copy cats. After the mixtape was finished we kept in touch with alot of the producers.
Hasan has created classic kult like creations that have been passed thru out the streets of nyc. Before i even met Hasan i heard about his mixtape called the Pink Album that he created with DJ J Mills. And his newest creation Perfect Strangers, which team up Nas and Jay-Z on Original bangers is making big waves in nyc now.

Reo has been another person i have got alot of Inspiration from. We met him thru the same mixtape that we met Hasan from. Steph kept working with him and networking with different producers and A&R's trying to get a deal or spot. I wud call steph and bother him to hear sum new Reo stuff cuz i needed inspiration. Last night i went too a beat battle and my boy Reo clearly won to me but he came in second place. The prize was a music program and interviews with different magazines. I Asked Reo before they announced the winners if he thought he won..and he told me as long as he got the crowd moving and the judges feeling his shit he's happy. Buckwild asked the Dj to bring back sum of his tracks cuz they were banging so hard...it was a crazy experience.

Hasan Insane, MeLo-X, REO

For about two years now i have seen the progression of these two producers and ive progressed my self so i think in the nexx 2 years we will be the talk of the town and the future of HipHop !!!!

Chicken Noodle Soup Anyone

"Chicken Noodle Soup" is the new dance craz to sweep NYC, and yes its from Harlem. Harlem has blessed us with dances like the "Harlem Shake" and the "Toe Wop", but now theres a new dance out of Harlem and its sweeping the nation. The"Chicken Noodle Soup" dance made popular by the remake from Young b has been blasting all ova the damn place. Everyclub and even on hot 97 from what i hear (since i dont listen to radio) have been playing this track. Alot of people may hate on Young B and Harlem for there new dance but atleast they bringing it back to NYC for a little bit. Everybody leanin and rocking which i cant hate on but at least now theres sumthing from our home. I aynt saying its "Real HipHop" but fuk it!!

Has this dance gone to far tho hahaha..peep the video
